Was there anyone along the way who mentored or influenced your work?

My career is indebted to my partners Victor Kovner and Laura Handman. They kindled my passion for the First Amendment and media law and taught me that excellence is not divorced from compassion and collegiality. I still have the benefit of their counsel and little I do is not imbued with their influence.

How do you think firms/companies can develop environments fertile for success?

Diversity in all its forms is central to success, today more than ever. Combining diverse experiences and points of view with an environment that encourages creative approaches opens the door to real achievement.

What strategies do you employ to win business?

Providing excellent work should be a given; being knowledgeable and truly caring about your client’s business changes the equation.
