“While many of my cases are litigated, my training in collaborative law ensures that every effort is taken to reach a resolution in the most cost-effective and clear manner possible.” – Aimee Pingenot

With a compassionate focus and an eye towards the future, Aimee works with clients to skillfully assist them in identifying their goals and guide them towards a resolution in often complex and contentious family law matters.

Having a Master’s degree in social work provides Aimee with a unique ability to understand complex and novel custody issues and work with both clients and mental health professionals to identify what is at stake for the clients she represents. Her compassion for families in crisis assures that she remains a tireless advocate for everyone she represents.

For same-sex couples whose relationships are not recognized by Texas courts, Aimee uses the collaborative process as well as creative and personalized contractual agreements to resolve property and custody issues.

Prior to practicing law, Aimee was the program director of a supervised visitation facility for families in Austin as well as an elementary school teacher with the non-profit program, Teach for America. She received her B.A. in Psychology with Honors, Masters of Science in Social Work with Honors and Juris Doctor from the University of Texas at Austin.
