Allan Hale’s practice concentrates on commercial, construction litigation and real estate litigation, with particular emphasis on eminent domain, land use and valuation disputes. He has extensive experience in complex commercial dispute resolution and litigation on behalf of lenders and financial institutions, developers and contractors, and residential and commercial property owners.
After obtaining his undergraduate degree from Harvard, Allan joined the personal staff of U.S. Senator Gary Hart (D-Colo.) in Washington, D.C., where he worked as a legislative assistant on energy, natural resource and transportation issues. In 1981 and 1982, Mr. Hale worked on oil shale development and energy impact issues as Director of Senator Hart’s Western Slope Office in Grand Junction, Colorado.
Upon completion of his J.D. from The University of Denver, where he was Editor-in-Chief of the Denver University Law Review, Mr. Hale joined the Denver law firm of Davis, Graham & Stubbs. He practiced in that firm’s commercial litigation and bankruptcy practice group and became a partner at Davis Graham in 1992. In March of 1993, Mr. Hale became one of the founding partners of Hale Westfall.
