Allen J. Scazafabo, Jr. is a partner in the Firm’s Family Law Group. Allen’s clients appreciate that he recognizes that each client’s needs and goals require individualized care and attention. Allen is certified by the Supreme Court of New Jersey as a Matrimonial Law Attorney and an R.1:40 Mediator for post-Early Settlement Panel economic mediation. He has experience handling mediations for cases with a wide range of complexity. He was selected to serve on the Family Law Executive Committee of the New Jersey State Bar Association for the 2017 – 2018, and 2018 – 2019, years.
Allen has been named to the Advisory Board for the American Academy of Financial Litigators for 2020. Allen was named to Morris/Essex Health & Life magazine’s “Top Lawyer” list for 2019 for his work in Family Law. Attorneys were selected for inclusion on the list by an online peer-voting process. He has been a panelist for the New Jersey State Bar Association continuing legal education program and has served as a Master for the Barry Croland Family Law Inn of Court. He has spoken before the Essex County Family Law Executive Committee for the Essex County Bar Association. Allen has also been a panelist/speaker for the Essex County Continuing Legal Education for family law as well as being appointed to the Essex County Family Part Non-Dissolution Planning Committee by the Essex County Family Part Presiding Judge. Allen has been quoted in the New Jersey Law Journal, New Jersey Business Magazine and New Jersey Monthly on various subjects in the area of family law.

Allen received his J.D. degree from the Pennsylvania State University, Dickinson School of Law. After law school, he clerked for the Honorable Terrence R. Nealon in the Pennsylvania Court of Common Pleas.
