Andrea Sinclair is a trusted counselor and valued guide for individuals and families as she helps them plan for and navigate life’s joys, challenges, and transitions. She understands that the trust and estate planning, administration, and litigation matters she handles are both deeply personal and profoundly impactful. She also recognizes that clients often call upon her during times of mourning, conflict, or stress. Combining legal acumen with a deep sense of empathy and genuine concern for her clients’ well-being, Andrea is the steady hand and sage counsel on which they rely.

In her estate planning practice, Andrea knows that the discussions and issues involved in creating an estate plan can be uncomfortable and unfamiliar for her clients. That is why she explains sophisticated strategies in clear, plain language so each client understands and appreciates the content of their estate plan and how it will protect them and their families in the years ahead. Collaborative in spirit and recognizing the importance of holistic estate planning strategies, Andrea frequently consults with clients’ advisors, accountants, managers, and family offices to create tailored estate plans, promote clients’ values, and accomplish sophisticated wealth transfer and preservation goals.

Andrea drafts wills, powers of attorney, living wills, prenuptial and postnuptial agreements, trusts (including revocable “living” trusts, Tennessee Community Property Trusts, Tennessee Investment Services Trusts, and dynasty trusts), and other tax-efficient vehicles. Trustees, guardians, conservators, and executors turn to Andrea for assistance in satisfying their fiduciary duties and performing their responsibilities. Andrea manages the administration and litigation of trusts, probate estates, guardianships, and conservatorships for clients, particularly high-net-worth individuals, business owners and founders, c-suite executives, and their traditional and non-traditional families.

When disputes and conflicts arise, Andrea brings her substantial litigation experience to seek resolutions that protect and advance her clients’ interests. She represents clients in matters such as:

  • Estate and trust administration disputes
  • Termination and modification of trusts and gift agreements
  • Real estate disputes, including quiet title actions, breach of contract claims, boundary disputes, and adverse possession claims
  • Contested conservatorships and guardianships
  • Will constructions and contests

Andrea also helps clients select and form for-profit and non-profit business entities and assists them with corporate governance, operational matters, and tax exemption qualification and compliance.
