Ashley Heilprin practices in the areas of civil trial and commercial litigation. She regularly appears in Louisiana’s courts. Her commercial litigation experience includes state and federal matters in the following areas: business torts; construction on behalf of engineers, architects, contractors and developer clients; professional liability including lawyers, insurance broker and agent clients; First Amendment and defamation; breach of contract; breach of warranty; unfair trade practices; fraud; charter schools and public education; internal investigations; election challenges; and class actions.

Ms. Heilprin has represented clients from case inception through resolution at trial, and where appropriate, resolution through settlement and alternative dispute resolution. She has an eye toward obtaining favorable resolution for clients at a reasonable cost.

Ashley represents both plaintiffs and defendants in their disputes involving public and private construction projects. She has represented owners, tenants, contractors and sub-contractors in state and federal courts in Louisiana, Texas and Mississippi. She has handled matters involving various aspects of the construction process, including delay claims, claims involving construction and design defects, lien claims and claims involving performance and payment bonds. Ashley has successfully assisted in the resolution of construction disputes for clients through negotiation, litigation and mediation. She has litigated claims involving breach of contract, breach of warranty, construction and/or design defects, negligence, unjust enrichment and construction liens.

Ashley is particularly adept at advising clients and working with our litigation teams to facilitate eDiscovery plans for clients of all sizes. Specifically, she counsels clients on eDiscovery issues including the selection of eDiscovery technologies, pre-litigation preparedness and the preservation, collection, review and production of electronic information in litigation. Her depth of knowledge of the underlying technology has enabled her to work efficiently and collaboratively with clients’ internal IT departments and outside counsel teams. Ashley’s use of technologies and analytics has made document search and review more effective, less time-consuming and less costly.
