Avalyn C. Langemeier is a partner at Foster LLP in the Houston office and is Board Certified in Immigration and Nationality Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. She focuses her practice on corporate immigration. She primarily manages employment-based immigration processes for employers, from large employers and academic, healthcare and religious organizations to start-up companies, across a wide variety of industries. She has extensive experience with corporate compliance and immigration policy, nonimmigrant visa processing, J-1 waivers, employment-based permanent residency, PERM labor certification, specialty visas, consular processing, naturalization and citizenship, and complex immigration matters, such as mergers and acquisitions.
Avalyn graduated from the University of Texas at Austin law school and received her undergraduate degree from Harvard University. She is licensed in Texas and California and has been practicing immigration and nationality law for over 20 years.
Avalyn is an active member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA). She has written on immigration law and presents frequently at HR professional symposium and AILA and other conferences. She has served on nonprofit boards and volunteered with various organizations.
