Chad Miesen advises all types of business organizations and entrepreneurs across many industries, including for-profits, non-profits, and community associations, in all stages of a business’s life cycle—from formation to dissolution. Chad has extensive experience in providing advice to condominium and planned community associations on a variety of issues particular to that subset of clients.

Chad joined the firm in 2007, became a partner in 2014, and an equity shareholder in 2016. He has extensive experience in company/corporate organization, reorganization and governance; private equity and debt financing; shareholder/owner relations, buyouts and disputes; general contract negotiation; supplier/manufacturing agreements; securities regulation; joint ventures and strategic alliances; fund formation; corporate asset protection and succession planning; and mergers and acquisitions. Chad has litigated and tried numerous civil cases in state and federal courts related to a broad range of issues.

Chad also has significant experience representing creditors in bankruptcy and supervises the firm’s bankruptcy practice. Of notable experience, Chad successfully represented an insolvent condominium association in a bankruptcy case that resulted in a confirmed plan of reorganization and final decree saving the association thousands of dollars and helping it to be a thriving community association once again.
