Chuck Cox uses nearly 25 years of experience to advise companies and their directors on their most challenging business disputes.
Chuck is the leader of the Los Angeles Litigation Team and a partner in the Securities Litigation Group. He concentrates his practice on complex business disputes, including securities class actions, derivative litigation, fiduciary duty, and other cases resulting from mergers and acquisitions, corporate control disputes, and commercial litigation. Chuck has tried more than a dozen cases to a verdict or arbitration award.
Chuck represents clients across many industries, as well as financial institutions and professional services firms. He has represented clients across the country in federal and state court proceedings, arbitration, and courts of appeal. In September 2021, Chuck was recognized as a legal visionary by the Los Angeles Times in its selection of professionals having “demonstrated noteworthy success and accomplishments” in the legal field.
Chuck previously served as a member of the National Council of the Federal Bar Association and on the boards of the Disability Rights Legal Center, Strength in Support, and the St. Paul the Apostle School Foundation. Before earning his law degree, Chuck served as a submarine officer in the Pacific.
