Chris practices in the areas of labour law, civil litigation, and professional regulation/discipline. He is also a member of the firm's education and benefits law groups.
Chris' labour and professional regulation/discipline practices focus on the representation of employees in all matters arising from their employment. This includes the representation of professionals before their regulators, as well as grievance arbitration and workplace human rights issues. In his civil litigation practice Chris represents individuals with a range of workplace related issues, including wrongful dismissal, employment standards, and disability benefits.
As counsel, Chris has represented unions, professional organizations, and employees before arbitrators, mediators, and other administrative tribunals. He has also appeared in trial and appellate level courts in both Ontario and Nova Scotia.
Chris is also co-editor of the legal text, Education Labour and Employment Law in Ontario published by Thomson Reuters.
Chris received his LL.B. from Dalhousie University. He summered and articled with the firm and he was an associate at the firm prior to becoming a partner.
