Constance H. Weber recently joined Littler Mendelson, P.C. She began her legal career with Kay Casto & Chaney PLLC where she practiced primarily in the area of Employment Law for over 20 years. She lead the firm’s marketing committee. Ms. Weber has been listed among The Best Lawyers In America© since 2014.
As part of her practice, Ms. Weber regularly advises West Virginia employers as to the implementation of employment policies and procedures as well as their application to specific personnel related issues. She frequently addresses employers as well as other members of the West Virginia bar on such topics as employee selection and termination, the Family and Medical Leave Act, and wage and hour laws. She has tried several discrimination cases on behalf of employers in West Virginia in the various counties located throughout the state as well as before state and federal agencies.
Ms. Weber received her bachelor's degree in 1992 from Queens College in Charlotte, North Carolina, and in 1996 her J.D. from West Virginia University College of Law. She is on the board of directors for Queens University of Charlotte, Alumni Association. She serves as chairwoman of the Employment Law Committee and served as the chairwoman of the WV State Bar CLE Committee from 2007 to 2011. Additionally, she is a member of the West Virginia Chamber of Commerce Human Resources Committee and a regular contributor to the WV Chamber’s HR Journal.
She served as a board member of the Defense Trial Counsel of West Virginia from 2008 to 2012 and is a member the Defense Research Institute. Ms. Weber is a member of the John A. Field, Jr. American Inns of Court. Ms. Weber is admitted to practice before the West Virginia Supreme Court of Appeals, the United States District Court for the Northern and Southern Districts of West Virginia and the 4th Circuit Court of Appeals.
Ms. Weber's achievements include being listed in the 2012 West Virginia Super Lawyers for Employment and Labor and being among those recognized by the 2013 Chambers USA - The Clients Guide of American’s Leading Lawyers for Business; recognized by Legal Elite, accepted into Litigation Counsel of America and recognized in 2016 by Lawyers of Distinction.
