Dan Kiselbach provides general legal counsel, and his focus is on global trade, customs, transportation and tax. He has appeared at all Canadian court levels, including provincial superior courts, the Tax Court of Canada, the Canadian International Trade Tribunal, the Federal Court of Canada, and the Supreme Court of Canada. He has represented clients in audit, assessment, enforcement, collections, criminal, and other matters, including London Court of International Arbitration proceedings. He is the Managing Partner of the Vancouver office and leads the firm’s Global Trade and Customs Group, and the Vancouver Tax Group.

He provides legal, strategic, and planning advice. He has assisted individuals, businesses, and government entities in many areas including the auto, agricultural, apparel, e-commerce, energy, financial, food processing, healthcare, manufacturing, marine, and mining sectors. He frequently deals with cross-border compliance including anti-money laundering and terrorist financing , customs and commodity tax planning, e-commerce, economic sanctions, export controls, foreign anti-corruption, and supply chain management. He is a member of the bars of B.C., Ontario and New York. In 2023 he was awarded dual MBA degrees conferred by Cornell University and Queen’s University on his completion of the Executive MBA Americas program.

Dan has authored and co-authored several works relating to business law issues. He is a contributing editor of the Sales Tax, Customs & Trade Journal (Federated Press-Taxnet Pro). Since 2014 he has authored the Annotated Customs Act (Thomson Reuters) which is a biennial publication designed for customs, global trade, and commodity tax professionals.
