I have been providing legal counsel to creditors, debtors, receivers, trustees, monitors and other stakeholders in the restructuring process since 1985 when I had the good fortune to junior to Keith G. Turner QC and Robert A. Dewar QC as counsel to CDIC on the liquidation of the Northland Bank. In the early years I was responsible for enforcement actions and priority disputes on behalf of various financial institutions.
