Emmanuel Moulin

Emmanuel Moulin is the co-founder and managing partner of Miguérès Moulin, a Paris-based business law firm specialised in cross-border transactions and disputes.

He advises French and foreign corporate and private clients on cross-border and domestic strategic M&A transactions, business and brand development and tax-related issues. He also acts in cross-border and domestic disputes and represents his clients before domestic courts and international arbitral tribunals.

As regards the advisory part of his practice, Emmanuel boasts a wealth of experience in domestic and international business transactions. He has particular expertise in matters with a nexus to the United States, Mexico, Spain, Italy, Japan and Vietnam. Indeed, in his early professional years, he led his firm’s practice in Vietnam and Mexico. Since then, he has retained an active role in these jurisdictions, where he is regularly mandated to act in high-profile cross-border business transactions, mostly acting on the entrepreneurs’ side. While his experience spans a wide range of sectors, he has a strong track-record acting for leading French and foreign players of the food service and home furnishing industries.

Emmanuel is also sought after for his expertise in advising international family offices willing to expand and defend their interests, ensure the effective acquisition and protection of their assets, and safeguard family relations. In this regard, he has developed a niche expertise advising international sportsmen and agents, artists, and other professionals of the entertainment industry.

As regards his dispute resolution practice, Emmanuel is well-versed in both domestic and cross-border disputes. He advises his clients on dispute resolutions strategies and represents them before French and foreign domestic courts. He is also regularly mandated to act in international arbitration proceedings, under the aegis of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), the Sport Arbitral Tribunal (SAT) and the International Court for the Settlement of Investment Dispute (ICSID).

Emmanuel is the honorary President of the Alliance of Business Lawyers (ABL), an organization that gathers together more than 60 law firms based across the world, and which Emmanuel chaired between 2010 and 2020. He has also been leading his firm’s commitments towards sustainable development and its adhesion to the United Nation Global Compact initiative since 2010.

Admitted to the Paris Bar in 1993, Emmanuel is a graduate of the Université de Droit de Montpellier (1990). He also holds an MBA from the Institut Supérieur de Gestion in Paris (1992).
