Eric Lalanne practises corporate and commercial litigation and successfully managed our firm for nearly a decade. He has extensive experience in the business world and provides pragmatic solutions to the challenges faced by companies of all sizes. He defends shareholders’ interests in oppression cases and pleads in insolvency and restructuring cases relating to the rights and recourses of trustees and creditors.
He often appears before Canada’s courts and tribunals, and has been involved in cases that shaped Québec law, including Peoples Department Stores Inc., a landmark Supreme Court of Canada decision on the scope of the duties and obligations incumbent on a corporation’s officers and directors.
Eric Lalanne was chairman of the board of directors from May 2012 to March 2020 and remains an active board member. He has greatly contributed to the firm's growth and prominence in Québec. With a consistent focus on modernization, he ushered in significant changes, including technological reform, a paperless office and a move to new premises.
