Etienne von Streng

Etienne von Streng is a co-founder of Streng SA, a tax law firm based in Geneva, Switzerland.

Etienne received his law degree from the University of Lausanne (Switzerland), was admitted to the Zurich bar, and holds a Certified Tax Expert diploma.

Etienne advises on Swiss and international tax matters for companies including listed and private multinationals, high net worth individuals, entrepreneurs, and families. His expertise includes in general tax optimization, frequent negotiations with federal and cantonal tax authorities in all Swiss cantons, corporate reorganizations, transaction structuring and M&A.

In recent years, Etienne has developed a strong family clientele throughout Europe and is frequently asked to assist their members in structuring their wealth and estate.

Etienne has developed a strong expertise in advising multinational in the industry and energy business and to notably assist them in transfer pricing matters, modelling business flows and financing structures, employee stock ownership plans. He also advises multinational groups on international tax matters relating to Pillar 2, BEPS and CBCR, etc.…, as well as on more specific matters such as ICOs and immaterial property tax optimization.

Etienne is also very involved in philanthropic activities and assists numerous charities in their projects by negotiating their tax exemption and following up on their governance and funding structure. He also is the author of a tax guide published in 2011 at the Editions Francis Lefebvre as well as numerous articles.

Etienne is a former president of the Swiss Western Association of Certified Tax Experts (OREF) and has been involved in many federal advisory committees on new legislation.
