Fredric S. Eisenberg is the attorney other lawyers call on to represent their catastrophically injured clients against powerful corporations and institutions. Lawyers turn to Fred because of his decades-long track record of successfully navigating complex cases, securing record-breaking recoveries, and ensuring his clients are advocated for and supported before, during, and after their cases.
Fred focuses on the highest-stakes cases, representing individuals whose lives have been forever changed by the actions of others. With his clients depending on him to secure successful outcomes, Fred approaches each case with relentless tenacity, strategic precision, and an unwavering commitment in pursuit of justice.
Over the course of four decades, Fred has secured more than $500 million in verdicts and settlements, including dozens of seven- and eight-figure recoveries—often in cases where the odds appeared insurmountable.
In a recent 12-month period alone, Fred obtained two settlements totaling over $100 million, including what is believed to be one of the largest settlements of its kind in the history of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
Fred is trusted by both clients and referring attorneys to handle complex, high-impact litigation. What drives his work is not only the outcome, but the lasting difference he makes in the lives of his clients and their families.
He has been consistently recognized by Best Lawyers in America for his excellence in Personal Injury Litigation, Medical Malpractice Law, and Mass Tort Litigation and Class Actions since 2013.
Fred earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Pennsylvania in 1984 and his law degree from Temple University School of Law in 1987.
He began his legal career at the New York City firm Labaton Sucharow, where he spent five years representing individuals and families harmed by corporate misconduct in high-profile securities class actions. In 1992, Fred joined Litvin, Blumberg, Matusow & Young, where he quickly rose to become a shareholder. In 2004, he was named a shareholder at Eisenberg Winkler Jeck Schwartz Schoenhaus & Sherry, P.C.
Fred’s practice focuses on complex, catastrophic cases on behalf of severely injured plaintiffs. Over the years, he has successfully handled cases involving product liability and automobile defects, medical malpractice, construction site and workplace accidents, and commercial vehicle/trucking accident cases.
In every case, Fred takes a client-centered approach, conducting thorough investigations, working closely with leading experts, and taking the time to fully understand each client’s experience. His goal is not only to build the strongest possible case, but ensure every client feels heard, supported, and advocated for throughout the legal process.
Fred’s commitment to his clients extends well beyond the resolution of a case. He frequently continues to advise clients on financial and legal matters long after a verdict or settlement, reflecting his belief that practicing law means supporting people for life.
Fred is a respected voice in the legal community, having written and lectured extensively on trial techniques and evidentiary issues.
Outside of his practice, he is committed to mentorship and community engagement. He works with high school students through the Philadelphia Futures Sponsor-A-Scholar Program, helping guide and support the next generation.
