Garrick A. Hollander is a founder and partner of Winthrop Golubow Hollander, LLP. Mr. Hollander devotes his practice to representing primarily debtors in Chapter 11 reorganizations, as well as representing other constituents in insolvency matters, including out of court workouts, acquisition of distressed assets, and assignments for the benefit of creditors. Mr. Hollander, also a CPA with years of corporate finance and financial restructuring experience, brings a unique business and financial understanding, perspective and approach to the practice of law. Since 1982, Mr. Hollander has been establishing, acquiring, and operating businesses in a variety of industries. In 1988, Mr. Hollander joined the audit department of a Big 8 accounting firm (Coopers & Lybrand). In 1992, Mr. Hollander served as the judicial extern law clerk to the Honorable Barry Russell, United States Bankruptcy Court, Central District of California and 9th Circuit Bankruptcy Appellate Panel. After practicing law with one of Southern California’s oldest bankruptcy boutique law firms, Mr. Hollander gained significant experience while advising companies as a corporate financial advisor with an international consulting firm (Ernst & Young), as well as serving on the executive management team of a dot.com.
Mr. Hollander has been repeatedly recognized by his peers as one of The Best Lawyers in America® in the area of Bankruptcy and Creditor-Debtor Rights Law, as reported by U.S. News and World Report, and in 2020, was selected by his peers as Attorney of the Year – Creditors/Debtors Rights, as reported in U.S. News & World Report in 2020.
