Jean-François Forget is a partner in the Litigation & Dispute Resolution Group, where he acts for many public and private companies on international, national, and local matters. His practice focuses on business and commercial law disputes and touches on all aspects of dispute resolution, from advice on complex litigation matters to representing clients before all levels of courts, obtaining urgent extraordinary remedies as well as engaging in alternate dispute resolution processes.
Jean-François regularly advises companies, business owners, entrepreneurs, real estate developers, manufacturers, and distributors with respect to commercial, contractual, administrative, and governance disputes. He has namely acted on post-transaction cases involving purchase price adjustments, misrepresentations, as well as breaches of representations, warranties, and indemnities.
He has significant experience in handling complex cases and bringing them to trial, which shapes his approach to all stages of litigious matters. Jean-François also has extensive experience in defending class actions (consumer protection, product liability, competition, and securities law), for which he finds innovative strategies to meet clients’ business objectives.
