Practicing law since 2009, John M. Parker, Jr. is a Partner at Taylor Porter, focusing on insurance coverage and defense litigation, public utilities, personal injury and commercial litigation. John is admitted to practice before all Louisiana federal and state courts. John’s representative practice area experience includes: Working with public utilities companies on litigation issues and contract negotiations concerning pole attachment agreements. Helping clients with representation before public service commissions on rates, terms and conditions of contracts. Representing clients in property insurance defense issues and claims resulting from hurricane-related, or other property damages or loss, including, but not limited to, the appraisal process. Representing companies in commercial litigation issues, including breach of contract and breach of partnership agreements. In the legal community, John formerly served as President of the Baton Rouge Chapter of the Federal Bar Association. John graduated cum laude from the Paul M. Hebert Law Center at Louisiana State University in 2009. He served as a senior editor of the Louisiana Law Review. John’s undergraduate degree is from the University of Richmond, where he finished cum laude with dual degrees, including a B.A. in Psychology and a B.A. in Political Science in 2006.
