Jose Ortiz

Jose A. Ortiz is an Associate of the Firm.

Jose’s practice focuses on Venture & Emerging Growth and Mergers & Acquisitions. Jose regularly provides general corporate counsel for emerging growth companies and investors and advises on mergers and acquisitions, venture capital financings, corporate and securities laws, corporate and LLC formations, and general corporate governance matters.

Prior to joining the Firm, Jose worked at a boutique law firm in Los Angeles, where he advised startup and emerging growth companies on corporate matters. Jose also worked as a mediator at the Loyola Center for Conflict Resolution, where he provided mediation and conciliation services for low-income Angelenos regarding divorce, consumer debt and landlord-tenant cases.

Jose received his B.A. from the University of California, Los Angeles, where he studied Political Science and Philosophy. He received his J.D. from Loyola Law School, where he was a semi-finalist in the Transactional Negotiation Tournament and a staff member of the Loyola of Los Angeles Entertainment Law Review.

Jose is fluent in Spanish. In his spare time, he enjoys competing in racing events and attending concerts.
