Joey Norman has a diverse corporate, commercial, and transactional law practice, employing a value-driven approach to his practice particularly focusing on appraising and addressing risk from a business operations and efficiency view point, while accomplishing legal goals and helping his clients maximize return.
Joey has a broad-based transactional and corporate law practice. He acts as outside counsel addressing day to day general corporate, operational, and commercial legal matters, including, mergers and acquisitions, governance, compliance, commercial contracting, and litigation matters. His extensive experience has made him a go-to resource for the full spectrum of his client’s legal needs from managing a fundamental strategic transaction to needing support on an isolated commercial contract. He represents clients in a variety of industries, including, manufacturing, industrial, retail, construction, transportation, business services, consumer goods and services, technology, and aerospace/defense.
He has represented a full range of clients including private equity, venture capital, family office, private closely held companies and publicly-traded companies in M&A, asset-backed finance and senior and subordinated debt financing transactions. He has assisted in completing transactions ranging from $1.5million to $5billion in a variety of industries, including energy, industrial, manufacturing, transportation, aerospace, healthcare, business services, consumer goods and services, oil and gas, industrial, telecommunications, professional sports, hospitality, and entertainment.
Joey’s practice also includes advising start-ups and venture capital-backed companies on strategic and legal matters during pre-valuation, investment rounds, and exit transactions.
Ancillary to his transactional and corporate practice, Joey represents multiple transportation clients, including Fortune 500 organizations and family-owned small businesses, with respect to their transportation and logistics matter. His practice includes transportation contracting (motor carrier, rail and ocean-going), regulatory compliance, global insurance management, and risk management. He acts as primary outside transportation counsel across the supply chain – shippers, carriers, and transportation services providers.
