Judith M. Nicoll

Judith M. Nicoll is a partner in the firm of McInnis & Nicoll. She was called to the Bar of Ontario in 1984 and practises exclusively in the area of family law. Judith also conducts mediations and arbitrations in family law matters. She has chaired and participated in programs for Osgoode Professional Development, the Law Society of Ontario, the Advocates’ Society, the Canadian Bar Association-Ontario, the American Bar Association and the International Bar Association, including writing many articles in the area of family law, mediation and arbitration.

Judith has trained in intimate partner violence screening and power imbalances since 2008, and has mediation training through Pepperdine School of Law. She was a Dispute Resolution Officer of the Superior Court of Justice, from 1996 to 2016, having been appointed in the first tranche of appointees in 1996. Judith was a member of the Senior Regional Justice’s Committee on Alternative Dispute Resolution in Family Law from 1996-2001and has addressed groups on issues relating to mediation, arbitration and parenting coordination since 2003.
