Kai is an associate in the Vancouver office of Lawson Lundell LLP. He practices regulatory law and commercial litigation. In his regulatory law practice, he advises and represents clients before regulatory tribunals, including the British Columbia Utilities Commission, the Alberta Utilities Commission, and the Canadian Energy Regulator. His work includes representing local and provincial public utilities, power and energy companies, and natural resource companies in provincial and federal regulatory matters, including environmental assessments for proposed and ongoing projects and economic regulation of the operational activities of regulated entities. His commercial litigation practice focuses on assisting public and private companies and public sector entities in resolving disputes in the public infrastructure, oil & gas, natural resources, and forestry industries.
Kai received his J.D. and LL.L. from the University of Ottawa in 2016. He is trained in both the common law and civil law systems in Canada. He joined the firm as an associate following the completion of his articles with Lawson Lundell and the Department of Justice Canada in Yellowknife, Northwest Territories.
