Mr. Keven Godin practises mainly in the fields of corporate and commercial law, financing and intellectual property law.
As part of his practice in corporate and commercial law and financing, Mr. Godin acts on behalf of businesses, investors and business owners in drafting and negotiating commercial agreements, in various transactions and financings involving businesses and projects of all sizes, in a number of economic sectors. With regards to his practice in intellectual property law, Mr. Godin represents his clients in managing, protecting, valorizing of their intellectual property rights both in Canada and abroad, as well as in intellectual property litigations before the administrative bodies of the Trademarks Opposition Board of the Canadian Intellectual Property Office and of the Québec Enterprise Registrar, and various domain name arbitration bodies.
More particularly, Mr. Godin works in the areas of purchase, sale and merger of businesses, the incorporation, organization and reorganization of business corporations, general or limited partnerships, venture capital financing, trademarks and trade names (including with regards to the application of the Charter of the French Language (Québec)), copyrights, new technologies and medias.
Prior to his career in law, Mr. Godin had the opportunity to work in the areas of finance and investment with a Canadian chartered bank at its head office in Toronto, more particularly in the sector of investment funds.
