Kristen L. Wenger has experience in class actions and complex commercial litigation involving insurance matters, deceptive business practices and consumer fraud. Some of her representative areas of practice include defense of class actions on behalf of insurers, business entities, and management for alleged improper business practices. She also handles class actions involving data security breaches and related cyber security issues.
Kristen has been involved in class actions and other complex litigation in federal and state courts throughout the country, including in Alabama, Alaska, Arizona, California, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Missouri, New Mexico, New York, Ohio and Pennsylvania. She has also been involved in helping insurers prosecute and defend complex civil lawsuits under the federal Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations (RICO) Act.
A member of the Jacksonville Bar Association, Kristen is also a member of the Jacksonville Chapter of the Federal Bar Association and the Jacksonville Women Lawyers Association.
In 2021, Super Lawyers recognized Kristen as a Rising Star for Business Litigation in Florida.
Kristen is an active member of the Florida Guardian ad Litem Program for Palm Beach County and participates in Experience Camps as a volunteer counselor for children grieving the loss of a parent or sibling. She also actively supports the Ronald McDonald House of Jacksonville.
Kristen received her B.A. from the University of Georgia in 2006, where she studied abroad in Beijing and Shanghai, China. She earned her J.D. from the Florida State University College of Law in 2011.
