Kurtis Reed

Kurtis Reed is a partner in the Commercial Energy, Corporate, and Projects & Infrastructure Groups. His practice focuses on commercial and project development arrangements, primarily in the energy sector. Kurtis advises a diverse client base on matters including private share and asset purchase and sale transactions, joint venture arrangements, project development, transportation and storage arrangements, processing and handling arrangements, power purchase contracts, marketing contracts and numerous other transactional matters.

Kurtis frequently advises on both domestic and international complex transactions and reorganizations. He has acted on most of the major energy mandates in the Calgary office in recent years, including transactions by Petrochemical Industries Company K.S.C. (a subsidiary of Kuwait Petroleum), Seven Generations Energy, AltaGas, Cheung Kong Infrastructure Holdings Limited (CKI), Centrica plc, Spartan Delta Corp. and Indian Oil Corporation. Most recently, Kurtis led the commercial energy aspect of Pembina Pipeline’s C$4.35B acquisition of Kinder Morgan Canada Limited and the U.S. portion of the Cochin Pipeline system.
