Laura Little practices in the areas of procurement and government contracts, national security and international trade and is a member of the Fasken Political Law team.
With over a decade of experience advising the Canadian International Trade Tribunal and the Treasury Board Secretariat for the federal government, Laura possesses a deep knowledge of the laws, policies and processes that apply to government operations, procurement and contracts. Laura provided strategic and legal advice to the Treasury Board Secretariat on a wide range of issues, including defence procurement, supplier diversity programs, grants and contributions, and the Government Contracts Regulations, as well as the application of the Financial Administration Act to government contracts and Crown corporations. She also has significant experience in providing advice in relation to federal policies and programs on real property, artificial intelligence, and procurement for Indigenous suppliers, the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples Act and other areas of Indigenous law. Laura draws upon her experience as counsel to the Canadian International Trade Tribunal to provide clients with practical and relevant advice in national and international trade matters, including the interpretation of Canada’s domestic and international trade agreements.
