Marcus Röll

Specialized lawyer in administrative law and constitutional law. Main focus is on (public) construction law and regulated industries, especially sportsbetting and gambling / gaming law.

Marcus Röll is managing partner of the German law firm Benesch & Partner. His office is located in Heidelberg. He has significantly influenced the law of land-based gambling in Germany through a large number of proceedings and publications they have conducted. For example in 2023 Marcus Röll and his team not only won cases before German higher administrative courts, but
also changed the case law of the administrative courts of an entire federal state in germany through various successful constitutional complaints.

Furthermore he is a lecturer for various chambers of industry and commerce.

Benesch & Partner ist with it`s five offices and over 1000 clients per year in gambling law, one of the most prominent in
the german market. Together with the only German-language specialist journal (Zeitschrift für Wett- und
Glücksspielrecht, ZfWG), the firm has been organizing the German Gambling Law Day in Frankfurt am Main for
10 years. The partners of the law firm are editors of the standardbook "Praxishandbuch Glücksspielrecht in
Deutschland" (Handbook of german Sportbetting-, Gambling- an Gaminglaw).
