Mario Mejía Kargl joined Mejía Guízar y Kargl in 2009 (where he is currently a partner), having previously worked at Basham, Ringe y Correa and Hamdan, Manzanero y Asociados. His experience of more than 24 years has always been in administrative law with high specialization in public sector procurement and health law.
His professional practice includes intervention in the main public procurement procedures in the country in various sectors (health -medicines and devices-, energy, public works and acquisition of goods and services in general), in strategic litigation both in nullity proceedings and in amparo proceedings and as technical-legal advisor in the issuance of laws, regulations and secondary sectorial norms.
A specialist in administrative law, regulatory law, public procurement and anti-corruption practices, he has worked with various clients in the pharmaceutical and medical device industry for more than twenty years and has participated in major litigation related to public procurement and economic competition in health matters.
He holds a law degree from Universidad La Salle, a Master in Public Administration from Universidad Anáhuac del Norte School of Law and is a Doctoral Candidate in Legal Sciences at Universidad La Salle with a line of research related to the problem of shortages of health supplies in the public sector.
He has been a professor for more than 10 years at Universidad La Salle of Amparo and Administrative Law, as well as in the specialty of Strategic Litigation at the Instituto de Investigaciones Jurídicas (UNAM). He has been invited as an external collaborator to participate in the elaboration of the protocols of action for those who impart justice issued by the Supreme Court of Justice.
