Attorney Moses has practiced law with Berchem Moses PC and its predecessor firm since 1976. She is a senior partner and the firm’s managing partner. Attorney Moses received a B.A. from Miami University in 1970 and graduated summa cum laude from Wayne State University Law School in 1975. Her area of concentration is education law; Attorney Moses has been representing boards of education in all areas of regular and special education law since 1976 and she chairs the firm’s Education Law Section. While her primary area of practice is in the field of special education and student related matters, she routinely serves as general counsel to many boards of education, providing legal advice on a myriad of issues. Attorney Moses represents boards of education both at the administrative and judicial levels. She has presented seminars for the Connecticut Bar Association, the Connecticut Association of Boards of Education and numerous boards of education on various topics pertinent to education. In addition, she is a past President of the Connecticut School Board Attorneys Council, a member of the Connecticut and American Bar Associations and a member of the Education Committee of the Connecticut Bar Association, as well as the Connecticut Association of Boards of Education. She was the only attorney member of the Connecticut Academy of Pediatrics School Health Committee and presents regularly on issues of school health. Attorney Moses is rated AV Preeminent by her peers in Martindale-Hubbell, its highest designation, and was recognized by Connecticut and New England Super Lawyers from 2015 through 2018. She was recently selected by her peers for inclusion in U.S. News & World Report’s The Best Lawyers in America© 2021 in the field of Education Law.
