Dr. Martin P. Lögering specialises in Litigation & Arbitration and has extensive experience in a wide range of commercial disputes, with a particular focus on disputes in the areas of commercial contracts, offshore-wind, plant construction and machine engineering, ship building and supplier industry.

Martin has acted in numerous complex court and arbitration proceedings and has conducted ad hoc and institutional arbitrations under various commonly used rules, including DIS, ICC, UNCITRAL and GMAA. He also advises clients in other dispute resolution procedures such as expert determination proceedings, mediation and in out-of-court disputes. Additionally, Martin regularly acts as arbitrator.

Since 2014 Martin is qualified as a bar-certified specialist lawyer in International Business Law (Fachanwalt für Internationales Wirtschaftsrecht) and has particular expertise in handling cross-border and multi-jurisdictional disputes.

Martin studied law in Münster, Hamburg and Nijmegen (Netherlands) and received a Ph.D. in law (Dr. iur.) with a doctoral thesis in the area of international commercial law (CISG).

He regularly speaks on commercial law topics and is the author of several publications, including the section on “Arbitration” in the legal commentary published by Fritz/Pielsticker.

Martin is a lecturer in International Contract and Commercial Law at Fresenius University of Applied Science, Hamburg.
