Martina Magnarelli

Martina is an Italian-qualified lawyer and a member of the Munich bar with working experience in five jurisdictions across Europe, including as legal counsel for a German global technology powerhouse.

Martina has acted as counsel and administrative secretary in several international arbitration proceedings under the ICC, DIS, and Swiss Rules with seats in Paris, Zurich, Munich, Frankfurt, Amsterdam, London and New York. She has experience in a diverse range of sectors, including construction and infrastructure projects, private equity, energy and natural resources, aviation and defense. She deals with complex and long-term contracts governed by a variety of laws and offers legal services and representation in recognition and enforcement proceedings before Italian courts.

Before joining 7SA in January 2019, Martina worked as in-house counsel in Paris, at the international arbitration group of an international law-firm in Vienna and the ICC International Court of Arbitration in Paris. A graduate from LUISS Guido Carli University, Rome, Martina holds LL.M and Ph.D degrees from the University of Lausanne, with which she continues to collaborate. Martina is the author of Privity of Contract in International Investment Arbitration (Kluwer Law International 2020); she regularly publishes and speaks at conferences on both commercial and investment arbitration.
