Nadia Elena Haghighatian

Nadia Haghighatian is a member of Winstead’s Business Litigation Practice Group, with over a decade of experience litigating intellectual property disputes for clients ranging from inventors and small entities to some of the world’s largest technology companies.

Drawing from her electrical engineering background, Nadia focuses her practice on patent litigation, representing clients with matters across a broad spectrum of technology areas, including software, telecommunications, electrical, mechanical, and semiconductor technologies. Her practice also encompasses patent and trade secret disputes within the energy sector, as well as trademark infringement matters.

In addition, Nadia values serving people in need through pro bono work. She has litigated high-stakes asylum and prisoner’s rights cases that have profoundly impacted the lives of her clients and reflect her personal commitment to increasing access to justice.

Outside of the courtroom, Nadia is dedicated to improving the legal profession through leadership and community-building, and she is particularly passionate about diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging. Throughout her career, Nadia has sought out opportunities to lead and elevate others. She has spearheaded internal LGBTQ+ affinity group initiatives and held board positions with several local bar associations and law sections, including the Dallas LGBT+ Bar Association, Dallas Bar Association, Dallas Association of Young Lawyers, and LGBTQ+ Law Section of the State Bar of Texas. Nadia is also deeply committed to mentoring diverse attorneys and law students, and frequently shares her insights through public speaking engagements on topics related to diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging.
