Rebekka Veith is a partner in Fishman Haygood’s litigation section. Her diverse practice includes appellate work, class actions/mass actions/MDLs, fraudulent transfer and specialized bankruptcy litigation, and insurance coverage cases.

Rebekka is known by her clients for being diligent and for her ability to resolve issues cordially but without concession. She has successfully handled all aspects of litigation, from initiating lawsuits to arguing appeals. Rebekka has gained significant trial experience as a young lawyer, having tried several cases to both juries and the bench, as well as participating in multiple complex arbitrations.

Rebekka’s current caseload includes representing a Louisiana law firm in protecting its interests in hurricane cases acquired from an out-of-state law firm that was barred from practicing in Louisiana due to extensive professional misconduct.

She is also working on litigation for a charter school and the Orleans Parish School Board related to defective construction work at a school building that resulted in the displacement of school children for multiple years.

Rebekka is committed to educating the next generation of lawyers. Most recently, she presented on “Trial Skills” at the 2023 and 2024 Justice Camp events hosted by the New Orleans Chapter of the Federal Bar Association, for which she serves on the board of the Younger Lawyers Division. During the 2022-2024 school years, she served as a Trial Advocacy: General Litigation lecturer at Tulane University Law School, her alma mater.

Rebekka serves as the Vice Chair on the Board of Directors for HandsOn New Orleans, a nonprofit organization that creates and manages service projects relating to public school revitalization, youth recreation, neighborhood development, urban gardening, and environmental restoration. She also serves on the Advisory Board of Editors for Tulane Law Review. Rebekka sits on the Board of Trustees for Camp Hardtner in Pollock, La., and is an involved alumnus of Benjamin Franklin High School in New Orleans. She is a member of the Association for Women Attorneys.

Rebekka received her law degree cum laude from Tulane. In law school, she was elected the Senior Managing Editor of the Tulane Law Review and served on the Dean’s Advisory Committee. After law school, Veith clerked for the Honorable Dee D. Drell of the United States District Court for the Western District of Louisiana.
