Rita Albuquerque is a managing associate in the Corporate M&A practice. With 13 years’ experience, she specialises the areas of mergers and acquisitions, private equity, corporate reorganisations, formation of joint ventures, and commercial contracts.
Rita advises Portuguese and international clients on their merger and acquisition (M&A) and corporate reorganisation projects. She is known for advising on some of the biggest M&A deals in Portugal, and for representing leading companies and private equity funds in many different sectors, including industry, distribution, new technologies and innovation, and the media.
Rita completed the LL.M. advanced programme in international business law at Universidade Católica Portuguesa and a postgraduate course in corporate law at the Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon.
Although she finished her legal training at PLMJ, she worked at Garrigues from 2006 to 2010, when she returned to PLMJ.
