Shane Reely is a fourth-generation Montanan. He graduated with honors in 1994 from the University of Montana School of Law. After passing the Montana bar exam, he obtained a Master’s Degree in Tax (LL.M.) in 1995 from the University of Florida College of Law. Soon after, Shane began working for the Crowley Law Firm in Billings where his primary focus was on tax-exempt entities as well as general commercial transaction work, such as preparing purchase agreements, lease agreements, and other miscellaneous business agreements.
After working at the Crowley Firm, Shane returned to his hometown of Missoula and joined Garlington, Lohn and Robinson, PLLP in May, 1996. While at the Garlington Law Firm, Shane’s practice consisted primarily of estate planning, probate, business transactions, including the preparation of purchase agreements/leases, forming new businesses, etc., and a host of related business documents which arise in a commercial practice. A significant area of his practice also involved representing buyers of bars and casinos. After 12 years with the Garlington Law Firm, Shane opened Reely Law Firm and he continues to focus on estate planning, tax, probate, business transactions, and transactions involving liquor and gaming licensing.
Shane is also a Board Member for St. Patrick Hospital & Health Foundation.
