Stevens A. Carey is a real estate attorney in Holland & Knight's Century City office. Mr. Carey focuses his practice on a broad range of transactional real estate matters, with an emphasis on joint ventures, workouts, financings, acquisitions and dispositions.
Mr. Carey is a contributing editor for The Real Estate Finance Journal, a member of the editorial board of The Practical Real Estate Lawyer, a past member of the editorial board of Bloomberg BNA Real Estate Law and Industry Report, and a past contributor and member of the Board of Advisors of Real Estate Workouts and Asset Management. He is the author of the 2016 American Bar Association (ABA) publication, "Real Estate Ventures: Formulating and Interpreting Promote Hurdles and Distribution Splits" and has written numerous articles on real estate acquisitions, dispositions, financings and joint ventures. He is also a member of the American College of Real Estate Lawyers (ACREL).
Prior to joining Holland & Knight, Mr. Carey was a partner at a boutique national real estate law firm in Los Angeles.
