As a real estate attorney, Tania Hovel’s practice focuses primarily on commercial transactions. She regularly handles complex matters related to retail, office and industrial leasing, finance, sales and development, acquisitions, and general corporate matters. Over the years she has provided counsel and representation for franchises, developers, family-owned businesses, high-net worth individuals, and private firms and investors in the preparation and negotiation of various types of agreements in connection with the ownership and development of real estate and business formation.
Ms. Hovel began her legal career as an associate in Dallas, Texas, in the Global Projects section of Baker Botts, L.L.P. There, she primarily advised clients in the real estate industry on both corporate and real estate matters. In 2008 she joined the law firm of Crain, Caton & James, P.C., in Houston, where she broadened her knowledge base in real estate and various other types of transactional matters. In 2012, she joined Moody Law Group, PLLC, where she represents clients in all stages of commercial real estate.
Ms. Hovel is a graduate of the University of Houston Law Center. Before attending, she completed an internship with the Senate Judiciary Committee in Washington, D.C.
