Thomas S. Creel is a shareholder with Carr Allison and is based out of the Birmingham, Alabama office. A large portion of his practice consists of the defense of construction defect, professional liability and workers’ compensation claims. He provides litigation and consultation support on a wide range of issues within these practice areas and has successfully defended a broad spectrum of clients, including national, regional and local corporations, insurance companies, self-insured companies, third party administrators, group insurance funds and small businesses. Thomas has had the opportunity to handle numerous state court trials to a conclusion as a part of his practice.

Thomas completed his undergraduate education at Birmingham-Southern College (AL) and graduated magna cum laude from the University of Alabama School of Law in May of 2001. He has been admitted to practice before all state and federal courts in Alabama. He is a member of the Workers’ Compensation Section of the Alabama State Bar, the Alabama Defense Lawyers Association and the Professional Liability Defense Federation. In addition, he was selected for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America® 2019-2021 in the area of construction law. Thomas is also a frequent lecturer for national industry support and educational organizations, including presentations for Lorman Education Services and Sterling Education Services.
