Vivian Hanson is Co-Head of the U.S. Sourcing Group. Her practice is focused primarily on complex, large-scale outsourcing transactions, as well as domestic and cross-border transactions involving the transfer of intellectual property rights in a variety of industries, including information services, information technologies, financial services, life sciences, new media, and entertainment. She also advises Japanese clients and is fluent in Japanese.
She has extensive experience in outsourcing, technology transfers, licensing, and other intellectual property transactions, as well as joint ventures, strategic alliances, mergers, acquisitions, and general corporate matters.
A sought after speaker, Ms. Hanson has lectured for a variety of organizations on outsourcing matters, including for the Sourcing Interests Group, the Association of the Bar of the City of New York, and Institutional Investors News.
She has also published numerous articles on the subject which have appeared in such publications as The International Trade Law Newsletter, published by ALM, for which she currently serves on the Board of Editors, as well as The Technology Transactions Newsletter, for which she previously served as a member of the Board of Editors.
While earning her J.D., Ms. Hanson was a Submissions Editor for the Columbia Human Rights Law Review.
