Best Lawyers® Announces Milestone Peruvian Recognitions

AUGUSTA, Ga., 9 November 2023 — 425 lawyers in Peru were selected by their peers for the milestone 10th edition of Best Lawyers® awards. Best Lawyers is the oldest and most respected Purely Peer Review™ guide to top talent in the legal profession globally.

“Through Best Lawyers’ distinctive and robust methodology process, lawyers are able to honor the talents of their peers,” said Best Lawyers CEO Phillip Greer. “It is with great pleasure that we recognize the top Peruvian legal talent in this milestone edition.”

The 2024 edition of The Best Lawyers in Peru™ recognizes the professional excellence of 425 lawyers in 34 practice areas. 17 of these lawyers earned the “Lawyer of the Year” distinguishment, awarded to the lawyer with the highest peer-review feedback in their practice area and metropolitan area. These accolades will have additional coverage with Gestión.

Lawyers who are nominated for consideration are voted on by currently recognized Best Lawyers working in the same practice area and located in the same geographic region. Our awards and recognitions are based purely on the feedback we receive from these top lawyers. Those who receive high peer reviews undergo a thorough verification process to make sure they are currently still in private practice. Only then does Best Lawyers recognize these lawyers.

For research purposes, smaller and more rural cities located within a reasonable distance to larger cities are combined into single geographical regions called “metro areas” to help collect as much feedback and data as possible. Lima has the largest number of listed lawyers.
