Since 1994, Jeffrey A. Weissman has dedicated his legal career to working in the Family Law and Family Law Mediation practice areas. A graduate of the University of Pennsylvania Law School, Weissman currently serves as a principal and shareholder at the law firm of Gladstone, Weissman, Hirschberg & Schneider, P.A., located in Boca Raton, Florida. Recognized in The Best Lawyers in America® since 2007 in Family Law, Weissman is currently being honored as “Lawyer of the Year” for Family Law in Fort Lauderdale for 2024, previously being honored in 2014 (Miami), 2016, 2018 and 2021 for the same practice area.

Of his legal career and recent recognition, Weissman stated: “I handle ultra-high net worth, complex family law cases in a private and confidential manner for successful entrepreneurs, executives, celebrities and professional athletes. Uniquely, many of my cases commence and finish under the radar on a pre-suit basis in order to avoid publicity and press. As a family law attorney, having the ability to bring an individual from a place of despair and hopelessness to a place of promise and empowerment is always the ultimate end goal. My employment highlights and recent recognition [are] less about me and more about the fine people that I have the honor of working with on a daily basis. Our team at Gladstone, Weissman, Hirschberg & Schneider, P.A. is exceptional, and I attribute much of my success and accolades to the contributions of everyone at the firm.”

With nearly 30 years of legal experience, Weissman focuses primarily on complex matrimonial and family law matters, often consulting with highly qualified professionals, including forensic accountants, business valuation experts, forensic psychologists and vocational counselors to secure the best outcome for his clients. Additionally, Weissman is a longstanding and active member of the Family Law Section of The Florida Bar, having served as the Executive Council for a full eight-year term. Weissman was recently appointed to serve on the Advisory Board of the American Academy for Certified Financial Litigators and is one of the most in-demand legal speakers in the South Florida area, having appeared as a guest on the television series, “Your Legal Rights.”

“Family law, by its very nature, is an emotionally charged field of practice. It is often difficult to deescalate tensions caused by pain, betrayal and heartache while getting parties to see the greater good of resolving matters in a fair and dignified manner rather than through the pursuit of retaliation and revenge. A great family law attorney must have intellectual acuity and high emotional intelligence. It is not enough to simply know your craft. You also must know how to effectively communicate with people and forge a genuine bond with those that you represent. Additionally, a great family law attorney practices with honor and integrity, no exceptions, and is well respected by his/her colleagues and the judiciary.”
