A Fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel, Laird is also active in the Real Property, Probate and Trust Law Section of The Florida Bar, having previously served as Chair of that Section. Laird has been appointed by the Chief Justice of the Florida Supreme Court to the Florida Courts Technology Commission and the Judicial Management Council. He was appointed by the State Attorney to the newly formed Ethics Commission for the City of Naples.
