"My goal is to help people who truly need help. Being a personal injury lawyer is the best way that I can think of to accomplish this goal. I have the rare pleasure of leaving my clients at the end of a case in a much better position than when they first met with me. It is an extremely rewarding profession."

Adam is honoured to have been named one of the 25 most influential lawyers in Canada by Canadian Lawyer magazine. After serving many years on the Board of Directors, he was elected to be President of the Ontario Trial Lawyers Association (OTLA) for 2016-2017. Adam’s practice is devoted to personal injury litigation, accident benefits claims and other disability and insurance litigation. He fights tirelessly, and with compassion, for the rights of accident victims and strives to ensure that they receive appropriate compensation for all of their losses. He focuses on serious, catastrophic injury claims no matter how they happen. Adam has extensive experience in brain injury claims and spinal cord injury claims. As an avid cyclist and runner, he has a special interest in helping people injured in pedestrian, bicycle and motorcycle accidents.

The former managing partner at HSH, Adam is recognized as a leader in the legal community. He is currently President of the Ontario Trial Lawyers Association (OTLA), and was President-Elect of OTLA in 2015-2016. He is a member of and has held leadership roles in a number of professional associations and organizations. Adam is also passionate about his involvement in pro bono and community associations, such as the Enbridge Ride to Conquer Cancer and was a member of the award-winning rock band, “SoSumi,” which performed to raise money and awareness for various charitable organizations.

Passion and Purpose: Advice for Aspiring and Young Lawyers on Building a Rewarding Career in Personal Injury

Let's face it. You have it a lot harder than I did. There is no way I would have gotten into law school at the University of Toronto with my undergrad marks and lack of any real community involvement and volunteer activities if I was applying today.

The Modern Mentor

At its most basic, learning takes two forms – figure it out yourself by trial and error, or find someone who has already made those errors to teach you.

Finding the Right ‘Work/Work’ Balance

You might think that’s a typo there in the title. Doesn’t everyone talk about work/life balance? True, but many key strokes have already been spent on that topic. I would rather talk about the new work/work balance – that is, the balance between working remotely and working at the office.
