Alice Haston represents entities and individuals in the areas of business, real estate, and trusts and estates.

Alice recognizes that for her clients to focus on their goals and missions, they need effective planning and governance. Her thoughtful, detailed approach enables her clients to establish beneficial structures and to minimize risk. She often advises families and individuals in business issues, estate planning, estate and trust administration, and fiduciary compliance. She also counsels nonprofit entities and tax-exempt organizations, including foundations, charter schools, homeowners’ associations, and religious organizations, in matters involving governance, charitable assets, tax exemption, and the Uniform Prudent Management of Institutional Funds Act (“UPMIFA”).

When issues threaten her clients’ interests, Alice uses her advocacy skills to obtain favorable outcomes. Her litigation experience includes real estate disputes, the termination and modification of trusts and gift agreements, conservatorship matters, trust and will construction actions, estate and trust disputes, and probate litigation involving heirs, beneficiaries, and fiduciaries.

A former public school teacher, Alice is passionate about education and helping others. When not serving her clients, she enjoys hiking, running, and volunteering in her community. Alice and her family reside in East Nashville.
