Andrew M. Adelman is a Senior Associate with Correia & Puth, PLLC and represents employees in all aspects of the firm’s employment litigation practice, including sex discrimination, whistleblower retaliation, and disability discrimination. Mr. Adelman’s practice is exclusively dedicated to advocating for the rights of employees, and he regularly represents employees in discrimination, retaliation, and whistleblower cases in federal and state court.
Areas of FocusMr. Adelman has extensive experience providing representation to individuals who have faced discrimination based on their sex, sexual orientation, and gender identity. He successfully resolved cases involving members of the LGBTQ+ community who face discrimination in employment, healthcare, and public accommodations. He goes toe-to-toe against multinational corporations, healthcare institutions, and schools and universities to resolve his client’s claims.
Mr. Adelman also specializes in representing employees in whistleblower retaliation claims. His representative cases include complex whistleblowing claims concerning violations of law, contracting fraud, airline safety, trucking safety, and other matters under statutes such as the Whistleblower Protection Act, the federal False Claims Act, the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2018, the Wendell H. Ford Aviation Investment and Reform Act for the 21st Century (AIR21), the Surface Transportation Assistance Act (STAA), and other state and local whistleblower statutes. Mr. Adelman has represented employees in whistleblower claims before federal and state courts, as well as administrative forums, including the Office of Special Counsel, Offices of Inspector General, the Department of Labor/OSHA, and the Merit Systems Protection Board.
Mr. Adelman is a committed civil rights advocate who is dedicated to holding corporations and government institutions accountable.
Education and ExperienceMr. Adelman graduated cum laude from the Georgetown University Law Center. During law school, he served as a student attorney in Georgetown’s Domestic Violence Clinic, externed at the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, was the Senior Articles Editor for the Georgetown Journal of Legal Ethics, and participated in the GULC Barristers’ Council for Alternative Dispute Resolution. He graduated with High Honors from the University of California, Berkeley.
