Drawing on her background representing health care organizations and professionals in a variety of matters before trial and appellate courts, as well as in private arbitration, Anna-Liisa Mullis strategizes with clients to resolve complex disputes. Her work includes both defending and prosecuting a multitude of complex matters involving hospital-provider contracting, hospital-vendor contracting, hospital-physician joint ventures, physician-owned entities and provider-payor disputes as well as antitrust disputes in the health care sector. Along with her litigation practice, Anna-Liisa also works closely with clients on analyzing and advising on fraud and abuse, patient privacy, data and innovation matters. She is known for her ability to build trust in a heavily regulated space and to grasp complicated concepts specific to the industry.
An accomplished civil litigator, Anna-Liisa is frequently tapped to join trial teams in a wide variety of practice areas, including bankruptcy and employment litigation. Anna-Liisa has also devoted considerable time to pro bono work, including counseling non-profits on a variety of HIPAA and other health care matters. She also serves as the co-chair of Brownstein’s firmwide Summer Associates Committee.
