António Corrêa Meyer

Antonio Correa Meyer is a founding partner of Machado Meyer, and is prominent in the Brazilian legal scenario, having provided legal assistance to countless clients and projects of infrastructure high complexity. He initiated his activities as specialist attorney in corporate and tax matters, starting later to work in the projects and infrastructure area in the areas of knowledge of energy and oil and gas. Antonio participates in affairs related to concessions, private-public partnerships (PPP), privatizations and M&A in the regulated sector, also working in arbitration proceedings. He also has strong performance before the Public Administration.

He is a name partner acting in Corporate, Tax, Infrastructure Law, and Regulation. Expertise is in M&A, Corporate Tax, Project Finance, and Regulatory matters.

Born in São Paulo, Brazil, Mr.Meyer received his LL.B. from Universidade de São Paulo and a postgraduate in Taxation from New York University. He was also associated to Wender Murase & White, New York (1974), Secretary of Justice (1993-94) and Secretary of Public Security (1994) of São Paulo State. Merit Medal granted by the Superior Court of the State of São Paulo, the utmost Judiciary merit.

He is a member of the São Paulo Lawyers Association and the Lawyers Institute, President of Centre of Studies of the Brazilian Law Firms Association, Board of the University of SP Medicine School Foundation. Antonio is a member of the Regional Advisory Board of IBA. He is admitted to the Brazilian Bar (OAB).
