Ashley focuses her practice in commercial real estate in the healthcare, multi-family, hospitality, retail, industrial, and office arenas, working on various investment and development transactions from inception through closing.
She has broad experience representing buyers, sellers, developers, borrowers and investors in nationwide acquisitions, dispositions and development of vacant and developed real property. She also advises landlords and tenants in leasing and management of commercial properties, investors in the purchase of model homes and leaseback transactions, and lenders and borrowers in the negotiation and due diligence aspects of real estate financing. Ashley has advised on many types of financing vehicles, including permanent, bridge, mezzanine and construction loans, revolving lines of credit, refinancing, and loan modifications, as well as on various aspects of renewable energy projects.
She also has experience with corporate transactions, including the formation and structuring of property-related joint ventures and mergers and acquisitions, and the tax aspects of such deals.
What Ashley enjoys most about her work is the people, particularly connecting like-minded people to one another. She proactively seeks out opportunities to leverage her network and build bridges, which may benefit those individuals and their businesses.
During law school, Ashley gained legal experience as an intern with Dr. Pepper Snapple Group and Sun Holdings, Inc., and as an extern for the Honorable Barbara Houser, chief judge of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Texas. She also completed a study abroad program through Southern Methodist University at University College in Oxford, England.
